Preview: Kid Icarus: Uprising

Has Pit found his wings yet?

Masuhiro Sakurai's game of two halves continues to delight and frustrate in almost equal measures. When we played the game back in January we came away thoroughly impressed with the aerial sections but less enamoured with the ground fighting elements, and this hasn't changed based on our latest hands-on time with the game.

3D Classics Xevious is here!

Now everyone's had their fill of the first game in the 3D Classics series, the NES favourite 3D Classics: Excitebike, it's time to kick it into second gear with the next instalment. Elsewhere there's a 3DS VC game and a trio on DSiWare, though WiiWare and the Wii Virtual Console take the week off.

First Impressions: Raving Rabbids: Alive and Kicking

Welcome bwaaa-ck

Kinect's advanced innards should make augmented reality easy, but so far we've only seen the mediocre Fantastic Pets combine live video with computer graphics. Ubisoft's preparing itself to have a go now with Raving Rabbids: Alive and Kicking, a collection of minigames, microgames and sections probably best described as 'toys'.
