LittleBigPlanet 2 is on course for a big debut when it reaches PS3 owners later this month, but if you're in the UK and haven't yet got a PlayStation Move Starter Pack – or, more importantly, a PlayStation 3 – there are a few packages on the way to cater for your needs.

Rumours are great: all the fun of information with none of the hassle of facts. With Nintendo sticking to its January 19th event to reveal the official details of the 3DS's launch price and release date, several UK retailers have jumped the gun with their own guesses, varying from the optimistic to the greedy.
It was only a matter of time
Kinect will almost certainly never crack the first-person market on Xbox 360, but that hasn't stopped smart coders from adapting the sensor to work with genre classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare with the use of a very familiar white controller.
All in good time
The combination of Kinect and PC has resulted in countless interesting applications, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Microsoft has taken notice of what's possible when the two are combined. Does that mean the technology giant will release official software allowing you to use Kinect on your PC? Maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow, but some day, if Steve Ballmer's cryptic hints are to be believed.
Soon you'll be able to control Hulu Plus and Netflix with Kinect, but Microsoft is still looking at enhancing the interactivity between Kinect and the standard Xbox 360 Dashboard.
Renegade Kid campaign falters
You might remember that last month we brought you news of a campaign to get Maximilian and the Rise of the Mutant Mudds on DSiWare, where developer Renegade Kid asked for 1,000 comments on a blog post to see if the game had an audience on the download service. Regrettably, one month later, the campaign has ended without fruition, with 452 gamers lending their support to the title.

While we all know that the 3DS's technology isn't powered by wizards and warlocks, it's still surprising to see just how mundane the machine's insides are. Following the handheld's "vacation" from a Chinese production line, some enterprising console lover has taken the console apart and displayed its guts for all to see.

Industry looks to the future
Recent figures released by UK chart overlords GfK Chart-Track indicate the UK game market is down 13% year-on-year in 2010, and a massive 29% lower than 2008 when the Wii and DS were at their height. Now the games industry is looking towards 3DS to get it back on track and help the industry recover from disappointing sales figures.
