When the mill started up a rumour that Epic Games' upcoming Gears of War 3 would be getting Kinect features, the idea of crushing Locust heads with our bare hands was almost too much to take. Bad news, then, that Cliff Bleszinski has categorically stated it won't happen.

Whilst we never really expected Gears to get a full Kinect makeover, it could have added a new, more physical dimension to its run-and-cover gameplay, but in all honesty it was a bad idea from the start: anyone who's taken on Horde mode will appreciate why you wouldn't want to try that standing up.
