Seeing Kinect do everything from video conferencing to building 3D models of bedrooms is all well and good, but what about strapping the sensor to a robot and sending it out to take 3D readings on the move? That's what the Personal Robots Group at MIT decided would be a good idea, and as you can see from this video below, they were right.
