We didn't get chance to wrestle with Kid Icarus: Uprising at the 3DS event in London as the game's still being feverishly worked on behind the scenes, and a recent interview with GamesMaster Magazine reveals the game's online modes are still taking shape.Masahiro Sakurai: The online capabilities are currently being tested. There could be some versus play but we can't go into the detail. As far as going forward, there are lot of capabilities that expand on what was in the DS that people are taking advantage of.A typically cryptic answer from a seasoned Nintendo developer, particularly the tease that the machine's expanded capabilities will feature more heavily going forward, but we'd expect nothing less from the new console.

We love people who dress up as Nintendo characters, and we love them even more when they get up on stage in Japan to have a pretend fight in the final of the World Cosplay Championships. Our love for this video cannot be put into words.

If you've got an Apple device you might have engaged in a bit of Angry Birds, the fastest-selling game on the Apple Store having sold over 5 million copies in six months. If you haven't got an Apple device, there's no need to grab one just to play this game as it's on the way to DS.

Remakes are big business these days – NBA Jam and GoldenEye 007 are just two on the way later this year – but demakes are growing in popularity. These old-school versions of modern franchises are often mocked up just to look awesome, and talented Way of the Pixel member junkboy has a skill to top most.

As consoles continue to become more and more powerful, they naturally need to draw that power from other sources. AA batteries, rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries and good ol' AC/DC are all valuable power sources, but EA is about to tap into a much bigger source: imagination.

Let's get right to the point: Girlfriends Forever: Magic Skate is bad. Really, really bad. What seems like a perfect combination of ice skating and dressing-up on the surface reveals itself to be so cripplingly simplistic that not even children would want to play it.
