Still Hope Rayman Origins May Find its Way to Nintendo Consoles

Updated game info page says Wii and 3DS is "to be considered"

The Wii excels when it comes to 3D platform games, but it's certainly no slouch in the side-scrolling department. With a healthy back catalogue including Klonoa, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and A Boy and His Blob, as well as upcoming treats Kirby's Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns the machine has arguably one of the best platform line-ups in history, and that's even without including Virtual Console. So when Ubisoft announced Rayman Origins, its spectacular new outing for the limbless hero, and the Wii was not among the list of consoles receiving the title there was much grumbling and gnashing of teeth. Don't grind those molars down to a fine powder just yet though, as the game's fate is still up in the air.

The Wii has played host to some great shooters in its time, from arcade hits to brand new titles from genre masters Treasure, and Sabarasa is preparing to bring one more to WiiWare in the form of Horizon Riders.

Abylight Tuning Up Music On: Acoustic Guitar

Latest in DSiWare music series on the way

We've already had the chance to tinkle the DSiWare ivories with Music On: Electronic Keyboard and Retro Keyboard, but developer Abylight isn't limiting itself to black-and-white keys and is branching out into stringed instruments with Music On: Acoustic Guitar on the way to the service in the near future.

These Domo-Kun Photos May be Too Cute for Human Eyes

Domo plays classic Nintendo titles

You know him as the face of a thousand memes but it's easy to forget that Domo-kun, the brown oblong with the sharp teeth, is a big Nintendo fan too. DSiWare fans may know him from his excursions into golf, rafting and construction, among others. As these recent photos show, he also loves to get his Wii game on.

Nintendo Files Patent for Wii Hard Drive

But to what end?

Mysterious patents, electronic goods and the Internet can often be a volatile combination, so take this latest application as you will. Nintendo has recently filed for a patent that offers the ability to install Wii games to a hard drive, though there's little information available as to its wider applications.
