Certainly prettier than the first lot
We've seen the three Pokémon you'll choose from at the start of your adventure, as well as the legendary monsters you'll look to snag nearer the end, but in-between there's dozens of new Pokémon to discover. Japanese magazine CoroCoro has obliged by revealing details and images of six brand new monsters and a few new areas too.
Buzz kill
With a few exceptions – Excitebike: World Rally and Heracles: Chariot Racing chief among them – WiiWare is pretty thin on family-friendly, well-received racing titles, so the thinking behind Mister Bumblebee Racing Champion is clear. Sadly, the best thing about this game is likely to be its title.
Plus it's codenamed EDEN. Come on Mr Mizuguchi, make it happen. This could potentially be more exciting than any Nintendo reveal.
Rumours that Tetsuya Mizuguchi is to show off a Rez sequel are very, very exciting. "Return to SYNAESTHESIA" indeed!
Most famous for its Metroid Prime series of course, Retro Studios has been rather quiet since completing work on Samus's first person odyssey, with nary a snifter of information slipping from its Texan headquarters. Here's an intriguing rumour courtesy of IGN, however: the studio is working on bringing Donkey Kong back to Wii.
This year's E3 promises to be a big one for the Wii: although the 3DS has taken most of the limelight in recent months, Nintendo will be keen to spell out its plans to keep Wii on top of the home console market in the face of rejuvenated opposition.
Much anticipated title out next week
It's been a few months since WiiWare shooter Blaster Master: Overdrive hit the North American Wii Shop Channel, but Europeans are a patient bunch, waiting quietly for their turn to play. That wait is nearly over, as the game will be waiting for you on the Shop Channel next week, priced at 1,000 Points.
