First Impressions: Let’s Tap

Tap into a new game experience.

After the physical exertion of Virtua Tennis 2009, and with the shame of my first-round exit still hanging over me like a dark cloud, it was a pleasure to sit down for a bit with Let’s Tap. As a huge Yuji Naka fan I was dying to find out how his new studio Prope’s first game would play, and as soon as I got my fingers on the little orange box I had my answer: it’s an absolute joy.

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle Is “Nearly Finished”

Although Suda51's bizarre "Johnny Knoxville with a lightsaber" concept for No More Heroes divided players between those who thought it was divinely inspired, and others who thought it hellishly contrived, it obviously did well enough for developers Grasshopper Manufacture to start work on a sequel, titled No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle. Speaking to 1up.com, Suda51 revealed the game is all but finished, and will be unveiled at E3 in June.

First Impressions: Virtua Tennis 2009

Strawberries and cream, Robinson’s fruit squash and appalling curly hair were all out in force for Sega Europe’s Masters Monday event, an invitation-only tournament with some of the best Virtua Tennis players on the circuit – and me – in anticipation of VT2009. There were even two guests of honour - Sumo Digital's Toby Allen and Kenton Fletcher, who were on hand to give some insights into the development of the first Virtua Tennis game for Wii.
